Job Summary
Lokmanya Multipurpose Co-operative Society is seeking a motivated and technically skilled Assistant Engineer – EDP (Electronic Data Processing) to join our team in Belgaum. The Assistant Engineer – EDP will assist in managing the organization’s computer systems and networks, ensuring smooth operations and providing technical support. This position is open to both freshers and experienced candidates. The ideal candidate should have a BCA or Diploma in Computer Science, MCSE/MCITP certification, knowledge of the Windows platform, experience in hardware and networking, and excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Assist in managing the organization’s computer systems, servers, and networks.
- Provide technical support to end-users for software, hardware, and network-related issues.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot computer hardware, software, and peripherals.
- Maintain and monitor computer systems and networks, ensuring optimal performance and security.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as system backups and updates.
- Diagnose and resolve technical problems and escalate complex issues to senior engineers when necessary.
- Set up and maintain user accounts, permissions, and security settings.
- Assist in the implementation of data backup and disaster recovery plans.
- Conduct regular system audits to ensure compliance with security policies and procedures.
- Keep abreast of the latest technological advancements and recommend improvements to enhance system efficiency.
- Collaborate with internal teams to implement new applications and systems as required.
- Provide training and support to end-users on software and systems usage.
Qualifications and Experience
- Freshers or candidates with 0-2 years of experience in any industry are welcome to apply.
- BCA or Diploma in Computer Science or a related field.
- MCSE/MCITP certification will be an advantage.
- Knowledge of the Windows platform and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience in hardware and networking.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Female candidates within the age range of 22-30 will be considered for this position.
