Scheme Launch Date:
The Lokmanya Vidya-Dhan Yojana will officially commence on 2 June 2025. This marks the beginning of a special term deposit scheme tailored for professionals in the education sector. The scheme aims to provide financial growth through a secure investment opportunity. -

Fixed Deposit Tenure:

Base Interest Rate:

10.50% per annum simple interest for general investors.

Joint accounts are permitted with close family members, including:-

However, the primary account holder must be an eligible employee in the education sector.

Loan Facility Against Deposit:
Investors can avail a loan up to 90% of the deposited amount, offering liquidity without breaking the deposit. The loan will carry an interest rate of 2% above the scheme’s deposit interest rate, ensuring quick access to funds during emergencies. -
Premature Closure Facility:
Premature withdrawal is allowed with an interest deduction of 2.5% per annum from the applicable interest rate. This provides a balance between flexibility and long-term commitment. -
Documentation Required:
At the time of investment, individuals must submit valid proof of identity (ID). Additional documentation confirming employment in the education sector may be required. -
