Job Summary

The Senior PMS Manager will lead, strategize, and oversee the organization’s Performance Management System (PMS) across all departments. This role is responsible for setting KRAs, monitoring KPIs, driving goal alignment, and supporting succession planning initiatives. The position requires strong leadership to manage a PMS team, ensure data accuracy through advanced analytics, and present actionable performance insights to top management including Department Heads and the CEO.

Job Responsibilities

PMS Strategy, Leadership & Governance

  • Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of the organization-wide PMS framework.
  • Set, review, and govern KRAs and KPIs in alignment with organizational strategy and departmental objectives.
  • Manage, mentor, and develop a team of PMS professionals to ensure effective execution of PMS processes.
  • Act as a strategic HR partner to senior leadership on performance, productivity, and talent outcomes.

Goal Setting & Performance Alignment

  • Drive structured goal-setting processes across all levels of the organization.
  • Ensure cascading of organizational goals into departmental and individual KRAs.
  • Monitor goal progress and intervene proactively to address performance gaps.
  • Promote a culture of continuous feedback, accountability, and high performance.

Performance Cycle & KPI Monitoring

  • Oversee annual, mid-year, and quarterly performance appraisal cycles.
  • Track and monitor KPIs regularly, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timely reporting.
  • Analyze rating trends and ensure fair and objective performance evaluations across departments.

Data Analytics, Dashboards & Reporting

  • Ensure data integrity and accuracy of PMS-related data across HR systems.
  • Design and maintain advanced performance dashboards using MS Excel and HRMS/PMS tools.
  • Analyze performance metrics to identify trends, high performers, critical roles, and risk areas.
  • Provide MIS reports and actionable insights for leadership review and decision-making.

Advanced Excel & MIS Expertise

  • Independently manage complex data using Advanced Excel, including:
    • Pivot Tables & Charts
    • VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP
    • Conditional Formatting
    • Logical & Statistical Formulas
  • Ensure version control, validation, and reconciliation of PMS data.

Presentations & Senior Stakeholder Engagement

  • Prepare and deliver impactful PowerPoint presentations for Top Management, Department Heads, and the CEO.
  • Present performance insights, KPI outcomes, and strategic recommendations.
  • Partner with leadership to translate PMS data into business actions.

Succession Planning & Talent Development

  • Support and drive succession planning initiatives for critical and leadership roles.
  • Identify high-potential employees using PMS data and performance trends.
  • Collaborate with HR and leadership on career progression, leadership development, and talent pipelines.

PIP, Development & Capability Building

  • Oversee Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs) for underperforming employees.
  • Guide managers in addressing performance gaps through structured development plans.
  • Link PMS outcomes with learning, development, and capability-building initiatives.

Training, Change Management & Compliance

  • Lead PMS training sessions for managers and employees.
  • Drive change management during PMS enhancements or system upgrades.
  • Ensure compliance with HR policies, PMS guidelines, and governance standards.
  • Maintain comprehensive, accurate, and audit-ready PMS documentation.

 Qualifications & Experience

  • Master’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of progressive HR experience, with strong expertise in PMS, KPI frameworks, and talent management.
  • Proven experience in leading PMS teams and managing enterprise-wide PMS frameworks.
  • Hands-on experience with HRMS / PMS platforms.
