The 8th Rashtrapati Sahitya Sammelan concluded with great enthusiasm and pride, celebrating distinguished contributions to literature and academics.
At the prestigious event, senior grammarian Prof. Yaseen Shaikh was honoured with the Jeevangaurav Award instituted in memory of Shikshanpremi Shantaram Shahasane. In addition, Dr. Avinash Chapekar, office bearer of Maharashtra Granthottejak Sanstha, received the Kavayitri Urmila Karad Jeevangaurav Award in recognition of his valuable literary contributions.
The concluding ceremony was organized by Karnala Charitable Trust. Due to health reasons, Prof. Shaikh could not attend the ceremony in person, and the award was received on his behalf. The event was attended by eminent personalities from the literary and academic fields.
During the ceremony, speakers emphasized the importance of literature in strengthening national unity and cultural harmony. It was highlighted that India, despite its diversity, remains united through language, culture, and shared values.
