Nashik:
The prestigious “Savanacha Darpankar Award” has been announced in a recent meeting of the Award Selection Committee held under the chairmanship of Prof. Dilip Vachanalaya Fadke, President of the Public Library.

The award has been conferred upon Mr. Kiran Thakur, a senior journalist and Editor of Daily Tarun Bharat (Vaibhav Edition), in recognition of his outstanding contribution to print journalism and his long-standing commitment to responsible and impactful writing.

This award is presented in memory of Late Bhagwan Krishna Manse and is instituted through the endowment of Manohar Jambhekar and the Jambhekar family. It aims to honour journalists who have made significant contributions to society through ethical and fearless journalism.

The selection process was carried out in the presence of eminent editors and journalists from Nashik, including:

  • Mr. Abhijit Kulkarni, Editor, Daily Lokmat, Nashik

  • Mr. Abhay Supekar, Editor, Daily Sakal

  • Mr. Shailendra Tapse, Editor, Daily Deshdoot, Nashik

Mr. Kiran Thakur is also the Founder President of Lokmanya Multistate Credit Society and has actively contributed to social, cultural, and journalistic initiatives. His analytical writing style, commitment to truth, and service to society have earned him widespread respect in the field of journalism.
